important reminders

To all Downhill Southeast racers,

We need to address an issue that occurred today and unfortunately, also happened during last year’s event which is riders throwing mud at the ski lift towers.

This is not something Snowshoe Bike Park deals with during any other weekend, and Snowshoe management along with their lift operations team is extremely frustrated with the lack of respect shown by a few individuals during our event. This kind of behavior reflects poorly on the entire community and puts our ability to host races at Snowshoe at risk.

Let us be absolutely clear: if we see anyone throwing mud at the lift towers, at any property, or at other people, we will report them directly to the mountain and they will be banned from all future Downhill Southeast races.

We’re proud to host events at world-class venues like Snowshoe, and we need everyone to do their part to keep it that way. Show respect, ride responsibly, and help us make sure these events continue.

Thank you,
The Downhill Southeast Team
